The winner – who will be chosen on 9 September at a gala event in Swansea – will automatically be entered for Miss World 2004.
Her prize will include an all-expenses-paid four-week visit to China where she will take part in the 54th Miss World competition. The event will take place on the tropical island of Hainan at a purpose-built $14million venue and will be televised to more than two billion viewers worldwide.
The competition is seeking an ambassador for Wales and contestants will be judged on personality, intelligence and beauty.
There is a £15 administration fee and entrants should be either born in Wales or have Welsh parentage/grand parentage. Entrants should not be (or ever have been) married and should not have children.
The current Miss Wales is 21-year-old student, Imogen Thomas from Llanelli.A percentage of proceeds from Miss Wales 2004 will be given to the charity ‘Afrikids’. (www.afrikids.org). Sponsorship opportunities are also available.
