Well, Emma has been a busy bee since winning the title in March but the best – and actually most scary – is yet to come. And by that, I mean the Miss World 2015 experience.

It’s an amazing opportunity to meet like-minded women from across the world who have similar goals, aspirations and ambitions.

Around 130 countries take part in Miss World every year and while the excitement is mounting for Emma, so are the nerves. To represent your country on such a well-known and high-profile stage is actually quite intimidating and should never be under estimated.

I have great faith in Emma to do a great job. In fact, I always have great faith in our winners. They become Miss Wales for a reason – and that’s really not just because of the way they look. They are ambitious, positive, highly focused, emotionally intelligent young women with a desire to be the best that they can be.

Even with those qualities in common, they are also individuals. Some are chatty, some are shy. Some are adventurous and some are homely. Some are arty, some are scientists. Some are dark-haired, some are blonde. Some are from the north, some are from the south….and the list of differences just continues.

I think what I am trying to say here is that the Miss Wales crown is there for anyone who has the mindfulness to want it. However, it’s the same as with anything (in my opinion) in life. You have to go out and get it, it doesn’t come to you.
And that’s what Emma did and now her plane tickets are booked for a month long visit to the tropical island of Sanya, China in November and December. She’s excited and starting to plan her wardrobe already. We know she’s going to have the time of her life!
