Miss Wales 2008 The Grand Final

In a glittering ceremony in Cardiff, Chloe Beth Morgan was crowned Miss Wales 2008. Twenty-one year-old Chloe Beth, who lives in Cwmbran and has recently qualified as a fitness instructor, beat 57 other finalists to scoop the prize.

The sell-out event in Cardiff International Arena was organised by Vibe Models and is sponsored by Dress-Stop.com, Wales's largest supplier of evening wear and promwear. The winner will now go on to represent Wales in Miss World in the Ukraine later this year.

The contestants took part in three catwalk rounds in front of a panel of judges. Miss Wales was judged by Sarah Cornelius of the Joshua Foundation, Glyn Wise of Big Brother fame, X Factor finalist Andy Williams, Rin Simpson, Editor of WM Magazine and former Miss Wales winner and Big Brother contestant, Imogen Thomas.

This year the Miss Wales competition broke all records and raised £75,000 for the chosen charity The Joshua Foundation which exists to ensure children with terminal cancer and their families can have days out and excursions together.

Paula Abbandonato, Director of Vibe Models, said: “We are thrilled with our winner and delighted to have raised so much for charity at the same time. It’s been a very exciting year and we wish Chloe Beth the best of luck at Miss World in the autumn.”
