Miss Wales 1969 – Shirley Jones
I won the Miss Caernarvon heat having entered
my first competition as a dare. Winning the Miss Wales title
was the start of many competitions and many trips abroad.
However, in spite of many modelling offers I stuck to my career
as a teacher of deaf children which I pursued for thirty years.
