CF40 partners with Miss Wales

One of Wales’s leading hair salons has teamed up with the Miss Wales pageant as official salon partners for the 2015 grand final.

CF40 Hair Experience Salon in Tonypandy is a member of the National Hairdressers Federation Artistic Team and winners in the 2014 Welsh Hairdressing Awards.

A specialist session team from the salon will attend the Miss Wales grand final on Saturday 7 March at the Princess Royal Theatre in Port Talbot. They will be tasked with styling the hair of 40 finalists in three hours ready for the contestants to hit the catwalk.

At the end of the evening, the new Miss Wales will be crowned and will go on to represent Miss Wales at Miss World 2015. During her reign, CF40 will also be responsible for styling her hair for key occasions and important photoshoots.

Claire Solman, owner of CF40 Hair Experience Salon, said: “We are going all out to make this a very special occasion for all the young women involved in this year’s competition. Much of our event work is across the border in England aswell as overseas and so it is really nice to work closer to home on this occasion with one of the leading beauty brands in the country.”

Paula Abbandonato, director of Miss Wales, said: “It is a real privilege to have the professionals from CF40 partner with us for the event. The Miss Wales 2015 contestants will have worked extremely hard in the run up to the grand final with a series of challenges and constant fundraising for the Miss World charity, Beauty With A Purpose. To be looked after and styled by such a creative and award-winning team on their big night will be very special.”

As well as doing the hair for all finalists, CF40 will award a spot prize for the girl with the ‘best hair’ on the evening and will present goody bags to all the finalists. They will also provide a prize of hair products and styling equipment to the new Miss Wales for use throughout her reign.
