At the 2015 Miss Wales Charity Ball, it was announced that the Miss Wales 2015 finalists had raised in the region of £12,000 for the Miss World Charity Beauty With A Purpose.
All manner of fundraising events had taken place from live window displays for our sponsors Tempest to kick-boxing sparring challenges as well as lots of charity walks and cake sales.
The finalist who raised the most for charity was Lauren Woolf from Tredegar. Lauren also won the highest public vote and also picked up the BEST TEAM prize – along with Carol Howells, Sophie Bettridge and Kyarna Weed - which went to Team Blaenau Gwent.
Other award winners announced on the evening were Jade Cherrington from Risca who was announced as Miss Socialite by our sponsors Pogo Digital for having the best social media account of her Miss Wales journey and also Sadie Pulman from Cardiff who won Spirit of Miss Wales for her inspirational story.
Paula Abbandonato, organiser of Miss Wales, said: “The charity ball is one of the best nights of the Miss Wales calendar because it enables us to recognise the contribution made by many of the contestants. It’s also a great night to have a dance and spend time with friends and family before the big final the following day.”
