Emma's Miss World farewell fundraiser

With just over a week to go before she jets off to Sanya to take part in Miss World, Miss Wales 2015 has been dedicating her time to fundraising for Beauty With A Purpose. Twenty-three-year-old Emma Jenkins, who is a TV presenter and researcher for Welsh production company Tinopolis, staged the fundraiser in her home town of Llanelli on Saturday night. The event was a dinner and fashion show which showcased collections from local retailers. It took place in the Parc-Y-Scarlets which is the home ground to one of Wales’s leading rugby clubs, The Scarlets. The event raised more than £1,000 for Beauty With A Purpose and brought together many of the 2016 Miss Wales finalists who supported Emma for the evening. Emma said: “The last week must have been the busiest of my life but it’s all worth it to see the money come in for Beauty With A Purpose. I’m grateful to friends, family, colleagues and next year’s finalists for all they have done to help me and of course to all the sponsors who came on board to make the evening a success.” Emma is now spending the week with a final round of media interviews and photoshoots before flying to Sanya on Friday 20 November.
