Business's summer fundraiser boosts children's
charity
A Welsh PR
company has just helped raise £7,000 for Save The Children
in its biggest fundraiser of the year.
Cardiff based Vibe – organisers of
the Miss Wales competition in association with Cellite Clinic
– handed over the cheque to Save The Children following
the grand final of Miss Wales 2005 in Cardiff on Friday.
PR Director, Paula Abbandonato, said: “We
support Media Trust giving expert advice to charities and
help Save The Children out with their PR on a monthly basis,
but there’s nothing quite like giving hard cash over
to a deserving cause.”
The money was raised through a series of
fundraising activities organised by the 30 contestants and
through the generosity of Welsh celebrities including S4C’s
Amanda Protheroe-Thomas and Jason Harold and Bobby McVay of
Red Dragon FM who offered their support for free.
Andy Nakonecznyj, from Save The Children
who sat on the judging panel, said: “We’re thrilled.
We didn’t expect such support and we want to thank everyone
who got involved.”
