Amy Guy Crowned Miss Wales 2004
In a glittering ceremony held last night, Amy Guy
of Wrexham was crowned Miss Wales 2004 and will now represent
the principality in the Miss World competition in China this
December.
Amy was one of twenty-four finalists introduced by compere
Darren Daley of vibe
fm who took to the stage in a bid to become the
next ambassador for Wales.
The contestants took part in three rounds in front of a panel
of six judges including former Miss Wales and Miss World 1974,
Helen Morgan.
The 21 year old trainee architect said, ‘I am absolutely
thrilled with the result. This has been one of the best nights
of my life and I am looking forward to representing Wales
at Miss World’.
Amy is a keen horse rider having competed at both the Royal

on Blue Peter to teach the presenters to horse ride. She also
dreams of designing her own house.
