Swansea businesses
support Miss Wales
Two Swansea businesses have thrown
their support behind the Miss Wales 2004 competition.
Tiaras by Rhiannan will be donating a tiara
worth in excess of £500 – to the winner, while
Lara Johnson Lifestyle will be sponsoring the ‘best
hair’ award, giving goodies to the new title holder,
and preparing the hair of all 24 girls on the night.
The competition final will take place at
Jumpin Jaks in Swansea on 9 September, and is expected to
be a real crowd puller with organisers promising the best
contest Wales has seen in years.
It’s 30 years since Miss Wales (Helen
Morgan from Barry) won Miss World so all eyes will be on this
year’s winner. Helen Morgan is the only Welsh woman
to have ever won the competition, and is the last British
woman to hold the title.
Lara Johnson said: “This is a great
opportunity to showcase our business. We’re really excited
to be involved in this years contest, knowing that the eyes
of the Welsh media will be on the girls that evening.”
Rhiannan Robinson is involved in the competition
for the second year running. She said: “The tiara is
the key symbol of the beauty pageant so it’s great to
be involved.”
